Hey, guys, I thought we could put up a list of movies that somehow have baseball involved in them, to cull more players for Joe to add to the league. Joe, have you added guys from "The Kid From Left Field"? I'm sure you're aware of this one, but I just saw it in a video store. Did I rent it? No, try to get two 15-year olds to agree to watch a movie from the 50's.

I am most aware of the Gary Coleman remake in the 70s. If you would watch it and some in some players I'd be very appreciative.

Joe, I have two players to suggest for future draft picks. Both players are taken from a Japanese movie called, “Jigoku kôshien” or in English, “Battlefield Baseball”. The movie itself is really odd, and although it promises baseball havoc, very little actual baseball is really played. So, I don’t necessarily recommend the movie if you want to see baseball action. However, if you’re into Japanese baseball zombie horror comedy then this is the movie for you. The two players are: Jubeh Baseball Yes, that is his actual name. The main character is a high school Senior who pitches so fast that he had to give up the game when he was a kid because he killed his father while playing catch. His best pitch is the “Super Tornado” and can only be stopped by a catcher’s mitt the size of a small bean bag. I imagine he, like Kane, will hit quite a few batters. Although, he has so much control that he would be very comparable to Kane in many ways. He is also a great agile athlete who can hit and run. Starting Pitcher with A duration. Team leader. Very clutch. Throws right. Gorilla Matsui The best hitter on the team. He crushes the ball. Would have a fairly high average as well. Probably not a great fielder but that doesn’t matter – he is that good at hitting. Very very strong. Not sure what position he plays, but my guess is that he is the team’s first basemen. In the movie he gets killed in the game, but later comes back as a cyborg to play the team that killed him. Also a senior in high school. Team leader. Bats right. If you would like to use these guys just let me know. I could always give you more information to help with the attributes. Movie Trailers: (5) www.subversivecinema.com/Click on trailer at the bottom. Battlefield Baseball is there. Watch all five to get an idea of the movie. LOL that's bizarre--it's a musical. They definitely sound promising, but probably not until we get into the 90s.
