Just helping everyone stay on top of the rules and keeping it fair to all, there shouldn't be any FA signings after the standard FA signing period and before the first SIM of games played. As a reference for the new folks and memory jogger for the old timers like myself, there were at least two emails about this rule sent from Joe to all owners: on 03/26/08: "Any unsigned players can be taken in the waiver draft after the first sim." on 11/15/09: "Any unsigned free agents will be available in a waiver draft after the first sim in reverse order of finish." I know, I know, I am an elephant that never forgets. Can't help it sadly. John

This rule had sort of been ignored for years. The reason is that there haven't been any free agents as good as the ones that made it through the draft this year in some time. I remember one of the seasons in the 1940s, there was a 20 game winner that made it through. I will not allow any unclaimed free agents to play in the first sim and conduct a draft after the first sim from the offers that I have had. Thanks for the catch.
